Industrial Coastline
In 2011, I proposed a commission to travel around the Welsh coastline and photograph industry both past and present. I wanted to do it all at night and use artificial tungsten light to illuminate the subject over long exposure times. The longest I remember being two hours and the shortest exposing over a few minutes. This would allow me time to walk in the image and paint light onto areas that I felt needed high-lighting. 
I had used only film to date; it was time to explore digital opportunities and felt the correct project to experiment and understand the capabilities of digital photography. 
This body of work has been exhibited internationally and published in numerous magazines and journals.
