Wild Swimmers
'Wild Swimmers' is a personal project that is on-going. 
I wanted to do a series looking at well being. People tend to be very busy with the stress of everyday life and as I'm quite close to the Welsh coastline, I wanted the excuse to take some photos. But of course, wild swimmers can be found where there is water, so lakes, rivers and ponds are also used.

As I was told on a number of occassions, there are wild swimmers and wild dippers! The swimmers are established swimmers, some swimming for miles. The dippers run in, have a paddle and then run out. But they feel so good after their dip.

I was impressed by the dedication of everyone. No matter how cold the water is, or the weather conditions, nothing would put off these lovely people. They formed groups and regularly took part in a themed fancy dress costume. In some of the groups, they could achieve badges which they proudly displayed.

Did I try it? Yes, on one New Years Day for charity! After the initial shock of the cold, I did feel good.
